93 Years of Adventure

For generations, Wasewagan has been the backdrop for some of life’s most memorable moments… Summer camps that shape our kids, reunions that have you asking β€œwhy don’t we do this more often?”, and weddings that actually let you soak up time with your guests.

Whether it’s your first time here, or your group has been returning for years, every visit adds another chapter to this place's story.

In the last century, we’ve weathered storms, fires, and floods, and we’re still standing. Truth be told, Wasie’s best adventures are still ahead of her.

Allow us to introduce ourselves

If you've been here before, you probably know this place as "Crazzy's Wasewagan", affectionately named after Crazzy Craig, who owned the camp for decades.

As of May 2026, Crazzy sold the camp and is finally enjoying a well-earned retirement with his lovely wife, Bonnie. Wasewagan wouldn't be the magical place it is without the love he poured into this property.

We know, we have big hiking boots to fill.

So who is β€œwe”?

And what gave us the wild idea that we could own and operate a camp?

It started with Chris. He's a high school teacher who's been taking students to Wasewagan for years. During his 2025 summer trip, Crazzy casually mentioned wanting to sell, and Chris' ears perked up. He got home, mentioned it to a few friends and coworkers, and before we knew it, a team with just the right mix of skills and chutzpah to actually pull this thing off had assembled itself.

Chef Doug has owned and operated restaurants and catering businesses for years. Trust us, he will feed you well.

Natalie has a background in weddings, event planning, and hospitality. She's who you'll be talking to make sure every detail of your trip runs smoothly.

Jeff is our numbers guy/bookkeeper. It's a boring job, but hey, someone's gotta do it! He also owns the big a** truck that gets all our new amenities up here.

Chris handles the legal stuff. Insurance, permits, compliance, all the blah blah blah that keeps the forestry department happy and the lights on.

Sofia and Issac are our dedicated on-site groundskeepers who live right here at camp with their adorable two-year-old. They're hands-on for every group ensuring you have everything you need.

What To Expect: Field Notes On Wasewagan

We’ve got almost a century under our belt, which means we’re old, but built to last.

Our cabins are a no-frills zone, so you spend more time outside. Our dining hall has a type of nostalgia that’s begging for a food fight (but please don’t, bugs are abundant here).

At night, it gets seriously dark, but we’ve rejected the feedback to add flood lights. Sorry, that’s what let’s you see the stars for a change!

There’s a pesky little bat that likes to snuggle in the roof of Seton Lodge. At this point, she’s family.

Our cabins don’t have AC, cell service is spotty, and your car will get mud on it while driving in.

We won’t sugarcoat it. We’re not for everyone. And yet, somehow, our calendar keeps filling.

Sincerely, Team Wasie
