Happy Holidays from Camp Wasewagan!

As the year is coming to a close, we would like to take some time to reflect on what a great year 2019 has been at Camp Wasewagan.  This is only natural, as Winter is a time for reflection — a time when the days are shorter, the fireplace is lit and there is more time to think about what we have learned and experienced throughout the year.

Some of our buildings and facilities date back to the early 1930’s, and over the decades Camp Wasewagan has helped countless youth discover and explore the outdoors, embrace the Traditional Camp experience and seek adventure through our programs.  We have served as a host for many Woodland Weddings, providing a beautiful location for those folks who feel that the outdoors is the most suitable location for the ceremony that marks the beginning of a new life together.  We have been a host for countless Group Retreats including Church groups, School Retreats, Scout groups, and family reunions.  We are grateful for all of the people who have come to be a part of the Wasewagan family and for all of those who keep returning for the fun we have at our camp.

Throughout the entire year Camp Wasewagan hosts guests, whether it be in our Summer Camp sessions, Spring and Autumn weddings, or Winter retreats.  Weddings at Wasewagan are truly a unique experience.  Guests are immersed in a Traditional Camp environment, but the themes can also be quite the unique experience ranging from traditional suits to rugged woodsman outfits to full-on viking regalia!  We can’t overstate how much fun it is to get to be a part of these unique ceremonies and what a privilege and honor it is to host these celebrations.  Have a look at our Weddings page to see what we mean!

Our hallmark offerings are our Summer Camp sessions where kids from all over the country come to spend two or more weeks experiencing the Traditional Camp experience.  During these sessions kids are immersed in activities such as canoeing, swimming, archery, nature walks, and many more.  We can’t over-emphasize how beneficial time spent outdoors can be for young people’s health and well-being and we are proud to say that outdoor fun and games is our business!

We would like to thank each and every camper, scout, wedding party, and all other visitors who have come to be a part of the Wasewagan family for choosing us to provide a professional, fun, and beautiful setting to retreat to.  For those of you who are considering their first visit to the Camp, please explore our page and give us a call to find out how we can be of service to your campers, group, or wedding party.  Summer Camp sessions are open for registration and there are weekend Group Retreat spots available throughout the Winter and Spring.  Happy Holidays to everyone and we’ll see you in 2020!
